We will use different training to achieve balance. Using martial arts for body control and self defense, calisthenics for strengthening the muscles, going into stretching for lengthening those muscles and ligaments as well as increasing blood flow, and finishing off with some important breathwork and meditation. Our goal in training martial arts is to establish discipline in the mind and body to allow for inner peace to be instilled. We often create conflicts in our lives through unresolved emotions and thoughts. Through increased awareness of ourselves, we may learn to overcome these patterns through finding the feeling of calmness and peace within.

We will be reviewing, in depth, very important self defense techniques for all levels of practitioners in the disciplines of Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. These three create a strong foundation for distance management keeping us safe from harm. They also establish important values including courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable spirit through their training. These values are just as important as the techniques themselves in integrating the training into our daily lives as a way of life. 

It’s important to bring water and a small snack as this will be a very intensive seminar that will push the limits of your mind and body in order to achieve growth and create a healthy outlet for our energies. We will have water available but we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle in order to hydrate easier and more readily. 

Bring a yoga mat or stretching pad if you have one available. During the stretching portion of the seminar, you will be sitting and going onto your knees and the mat will reduce and harm to joints and create better comfort for relaxation.

Do not forget to bring a towel and potentially a change of shirts. Expect to get sweaty as the training itself will be demanding of the body and mind in order to create this healthy outlet of energy.

This event will be held at the home of our dear friends so those who attend are required to be respectful of the space and people. There is no tolerance for ignorant behavior.
